The Antwerp Archers are taking a road trip to  take on the Woodlan Warriors  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
 Antwerp came up short against  Hilltop on Monday, falling  3-0. The Archers have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 While Antwerp had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20,  25-20.
 Despite the  defeat, Antwerp saw an underclassman step up:  Emery Jones  had eight  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Jones has posted since back in August.
 Meanwhile, Woodlan hadn't done well against Heritage recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Woodlan came out on top against Heritage by a score of  3-1.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 16-25,  25-16.
 Woodlan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Makenna Smith led the charge by  getting 23  digs and four  aces. Smith is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 13 or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jade Lichty, who  had 13  digs and two  aces.
 Antwerp's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Woodlan, their record now sits at 12-6.
 Antwerp suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Woodlan  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023. Can Antwerp avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
