The Camden Bulldogs will square off against the South Pointe Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Camden's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 43-0 victory over Dreher. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, South Pointe entered their tilt with A.C. Flora last Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Falcons 35-12. The score was close at halftime, but the Stallions pulled away in the second half with 21 points.
Camden better keep an eye on R.J. Brown. He was instrumental in South Pointe's win, rushing for 140 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Dailan Duncan was another key player, picking up 170 receiving yards.
South Pointe's run defense was locked in: A.C. Flora could only muster three yards per carry. While two picked up at least eight total tackles, Darien Judge stood above the rest. He forced one fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended eight passes. South Pointe didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
South Pointe's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. In that department, Brysen Ginn was the leader with two. South Pointe got some further help from Judge: he forced one fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended eight passes.
Camden's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for South Pointe, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Camden was dealt a bruising 64-0 defeat at the hands of South Pointe in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Mason Pickett-Hicks (who rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
