Summit unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 34-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenwood Springs Demons on Saturday. Glenwood Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lamanie Portillo led the charge by rushing for 181 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.
