Volleyball Recap: Central Starts Season with Victory at Home

Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bremen Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22.

Macey Mount paced Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Mount got some help from Abby Kreft and her nine assists. Katelynn Hunter controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Coincidentally, Central and Bremen will both be playing Sandy Creek the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
