The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dreher and snuck past 49-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orangeburg-Wilkinson also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamari Williams, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Jamison, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Dreher still got an impressive performance from Tony Baker, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Jordan Barr was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Dreher, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson will head out on the road to face off against Lower Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeburg-Wilkinson is coming into the game with six straight victories on the road, meaning Lower Richland will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Dreher, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dreher focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
