Triangle Math & Science scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Ascend Leadership 60-22 at home. With Triangle Math & Science ahead 40-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Zakaria Adam, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Augustus, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Clover Garden School came up short against Woods Charter on Friday and fell 53-41. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clover Garden School in their matchups with Woods Charter: they've now lost three in a row.
Triangle Math & Science's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Clover Garden School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Triangle Math & Science lost to Clover Garden School on the road by a decisive 53-38 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Triangle Math & Science avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
