Beechcroft has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Centennial Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Beechcroft suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 83-52 loss at the hands of Northland. While losing is never fun, Beechcroft can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while Northland is ranked 131st).
Centennial fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over Independence on Wednesday.
Beechcroft's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Beechcroft and Centennial were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Beechcroft came up empty-handed after a 76-75 defeat. Can Beechcroft avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
