Alexandria-Monroe was not the first on the board  on Tuesday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against the Elwood Panthers as they made off with  an  11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Owen May was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Adrian Smith, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
The  win made it two in a row for Alexandria-Monroe and  bumps their season record up to 13-9. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5  runs in those games. As for Elwood, their defeat was  their seventh straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-21.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alexandria-Monroe will  challenge  rival Eastbrook  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Elwood is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Madison-Grant  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
