They were the clear victor by a 45-19 margin over Loudoun County HomeSchool. Given State Line HomeSchool R's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Loudoun County HomeSchool is ranked 262nd), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
State Line HomeSchool R's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aden Clark led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven assists and seven steals. The game was Clark's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Vaughan, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
State Line HomeSchool R is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Loudoun County HomeSchool, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-10 record last season and are now at 1-4.
State Line HomeSchool R will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southwest Virginia HomeSchool at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. As for Loudoun County HomeSchool, they will face off against Maryland School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maryland School for the Deaf is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
