On Tuesday, the Wake Forest Cougars's game was all tied up 31-31 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past East Wake 66-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wake Forest also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Wake Forest can attribute much of their success to Audra Hillman, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. Taya Simpkins was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Wake Forest's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East Wake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Wake Forest will look to defend their home court on November 30th against Green Hope at 6:30 p.m. As for East Wake, they will square off against Northampton County at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
