The Maryville Christian Lions lost against the Marquette Catholic Explorers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Maryville Christian was dealt a 72-20 loss at the hands of Marquette Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Maryville Christian has scored all season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Levi Gray, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Maryville Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season. As for Marquette Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.
Maryville Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-41 loss vs. North County Christian on the 8th. Marquette Catholic has also already played their next matchup, a 65-54 defeat against Althoff Catholic on the 9th.
