On Friday, Southern are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Bullitt Central at 7:30 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Southern, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
It could have been worse for Southern, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 34-54 to North Bullitt last Friday.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Bullitt Central and Spencer County last week, but Bullitt Central stepped up in the second half. Bullitt Central snuck past Spencer County with a 23-19 win.
Bullitt Central's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Southern's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Bullitt Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Southern can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Bullitt Central's step.
