The Charles Henderson Trojans will welcome the Park Crossing Thunderbirds at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Charles Henderson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Geneva, but still couldn't quite topple them. Charles Henderson blew past Geneva 13-3 on Tuesday. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Cole Pugh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
In other pitching news, Will Watkins looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Owen Pugh, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Chase Vaznaian was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Charles Henderson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Park Crossing put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Shades Valley as Park Crossing made off with an 18-4 victory. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbirds this season.
I JOHNSON was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was J MCGHEE, who went 1-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
The win got Charles Henderson back to even at 3-3. As for Park Crossing, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
