Baseball Recap: Lincoln Charter's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lincoln Charter won the last time they faced Pine Lake Prep and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lincoln Charter put the hurt on Pine Lake Prep with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Nate Rollins was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Okoniewski, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lincoln Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Lake Prep only posted an OBP of .357.

The win was the fifth in a row for Lincoln Charter, bringing their record up to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Pine Lake Prep, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Coming up, Lincoln Charter will challenge Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lincoln Charter 1.7, Burns 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will face off against Lincoln Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
