Basketball Recap: B.J. Head and Autumn Hubbard Secure Win for Christian Community

Christian Community's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Pleasant View Christian Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Christian Community to victory were Autumn Hubbard and B.J. Head. Hubbard went 5 for 11 on her way to 14 points, while Head went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Head a new career-high. Makenzie Rigsby was another key player, putting up ten points.

Christian Community pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Pleasant View Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Community won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Highland Rim Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant View Christian, they will head out to take on Lighthouse Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
