The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Genesis Prep Academy in their matchups with North Idaho Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
North Idaho Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chelsey Cate out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Danica Kelly, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Genesis Prep Academy bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for North Idaho Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Genesis Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. North Idaho Christian and Flathead Valley HomeSchool will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
