Central East is a perfect 4-0 against Sanger since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bengals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apaches at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central East 2.3, Sanger 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Central East took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over Clovis. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Kaia Galaviz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Galaviz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Gabi Ramirez and Ella Bakholdin did most of the damage at the plate: Ramirez went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Bakholdin went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Bakholdin a new career-high. Kiki Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Sanger had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Clovis West 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.
Like Central East, Sanger also got a great game from a two-way player: Amber Estrada. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Estrada was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Estrada wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aundrea Orosco, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Central East's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3-1. As for Sanger, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Central East has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Sanger struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Central East's way against Sanger in their previous meeting back in April, as Central East made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Apaches have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
