The Mountain Ridge Sentinels will head out on the road to square off against the Riverton Silverwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
On Tuesday, Mountain Ridge made easy work of Cedar Valley and carried off a 3-0 win.
Mountain Ridge walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-8.

Mountain Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but McKynlee Miller led the charge by getting five digs and two aces. Miller has been hot recently, having also posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Marshall, who had nine digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Mountain Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Riverton came up short against Herriman on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Silverwolves in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost nine in a row.
Riverton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-13.
Mountain Ridge's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Riverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Mountain Ridge took their victory against Riverton when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sentinels since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
