Kankakee Trinity Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tommy Kujawa, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kujawa has scored at least 25% of Kankakee Trinity Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Schurman, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why HomeSchool Resource Center lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cedrick Jefferson. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. Jefferson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Fredrick Jefferson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Kankakee Trinity Academy will head out on the road to face off against Families of Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne HomeSchool at 12:40 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Wayne HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
