If the Skyline Falcons were feeling good off their 56-29 takedown of the Lyons Lions on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Skyline was beaten by Roosevelt 79-34 on Tuesday. Skyline has not had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Charlotte Manes, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Manes is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Keira Reuter, who scored ten points.
Skyline's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Roosevelt, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline and Riverdale Ridge will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to face off against Thompson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
