The Bishop Moore Hornets will challenge the Montverde Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ariana Lara was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Gomez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Montverde Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let South Lake get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Montverde Academy sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row dating back to last season.
Nevaeh Williams looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Montverde Academy let Colby Reish and Luna Taboas run wild. Reish went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Taboas went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Reish a new career-high. Ashley Berkemeier was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Montverde Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Bishop Moore now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Montverde Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
