The Taylorsville Warriors lost against the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle back in January of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Taylorsville received a tough blow as they fell 71-53 to Juan Diego Catholic. Taylorsville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bronson Dallimore, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Dallimore is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Logan Bertagnolli was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Luke Meyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Juan Diego Catholic, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Stockton Young, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Taylorsville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9. As for Juan Diego Catholic, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Taylorsville will head out on the road to challenge Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Cyprus is ranked 102nd, while Taylorsville is ranked 93rd). As for Juan Diego Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. West Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Juan Diego Catholic likes a good challenge.
