The Kenesaw Blue Devils struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Alma Cardinals had 1100% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Kenesaw ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-37 walloping at the hands of Alma. Kenesaw has not had much luck with Alma recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kenesaw's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Kelley, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds. Jorja Uden was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 blocks.
Among those leading the charge was Addison Siebels, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Chayse Molzahn, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kenesaw's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alma, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenesaw will take on Loomis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alma, they will be playing at home against Elm Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Elm Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
