Arrowhead has gone 8-2 against Oconomowoc recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warhawks will welcome the Raccoons at 4:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Arrowhead didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Creek and fell 4-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oconomowoc). They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over Kettle Moraine on Tuesday. The Raccoons haven't had any issues with the Lasers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Kelsey Yambor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Harbor Breitzman was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Laci Griswold was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Oconomowoc was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kettle Moraine only posted a batting average of .233.
Oconomowoc's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Arrowhead, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.
Arrowhead was able to grind out a solid win over Oconomowoc in their previous matchup back in April, winning 10-7. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Raccoons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
