Softball Recap: Turlock's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Turlock made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Escalon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Turlock Bulldogs' way against the Escalon Cougars on Friday as the Turlock Bulldogs made off with a 10-3 win. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Maycie Higgins looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Turlock got a big performance out of Cadee Campbell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Campbell also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season. Brooke De La Motte was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

With the victory, Turlock broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6. As for Escalon, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Turlock will take on Stagg in a tournament on Saturday. As for Escalon, they have already played their next matchup, a 12-4 win against Modesto on the 28th.
