Given George Jenkins' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Bloodhounds are ranked 602nd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Marykate Benham, who scored 17 points. Taleah Turner was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
George Jenkins' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Auburndale, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
