Bulloch Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Sheppard led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Sheppard continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keonte Mayner, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Bulloch Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Pinewood Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.
Bulloch Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Pinewood Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Frederica Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pinewood Christian in Georgia (Frederica Academy is ranked 125th, while Pinewood Christian is ranked 325th).
