The Grace Christian Academy EAGLES lost against the Strong Rock Christian Patriots back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grace Christian Academy lost to Strong Rock Christian on the road by a decisive 66-52 margin.
Several EAGLES players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Smith, who scored 13 points. Ethan Riesberg was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Strong Rock Christian was led to victory by Asa Shearer and Zack Phillips. Shearer scored 20 points, while Phillips scored 31 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Phillips' 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Stancil, who scored seven points.
Grace Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Strong Rock Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
Grace Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Covenant Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Strong Rock Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Anne-Pacelli knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Strong Rock Christian likes a good challenge.
