Softball Recap: Enloe Has No Trouble Against Sanderson

Enloe won the last time they faced Sanderson and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 13-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kylan Wright and Lilly Watson did most of the damage at the plate: Wright went 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI, while Watson went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Wright has posted since back in February. Madison Haga was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Enloe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Enloe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Sanderson, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Enloe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-4 victory against Broughton on the 17th. As for Sanderson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-2 defeat against Cardinal Gibbons on the 21st.
