The Southern Coffey County Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Crest 80-7. Southern Coffey County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-2.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Golden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Hobbs, who scored eight points along with eight steals.
Southern Coffey County bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Crest, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Southern Coffey County will square off against Veritas Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crest, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Erie at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
