The Palmview Lobos can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mission Veterans Memorial 49-22 on the road. Given Palmview's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Mission Veterans Memorial is ranked 955th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mia Rojas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Rojas, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Palmview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmview on the road again on Friday and play against Nixon at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will square off against Roma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
