Maranatha had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 16-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Village Christian Crusaders, sneaking past 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Minutemen: when they faced off against the Crusaders on April 14th, they had to take a 2-0 loss.
Campbell Taylor was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
