After soaring to 57 points the game before, the David Emanuel Academy Eagles were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Briarwood Academy, falling 61-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points David Emanuel Academy has scored all season.
Briarwood Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Mosley out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals and two blocks. Mosley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caroline Stapleton, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
David Emanuel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Briarwood Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. David Emanuel Academy will take on The Habersham School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Habersham School is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Briarwood Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edmund Burke Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmund Burke Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
