The Union County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Pickens Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pickens took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Union County, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Union County made easy work of Lumpkin County and carried off a 4-1 win. With Union County ahead 3-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Pickens suffered a tough 4-1 defeat at the hands of Coahulla Creek on Thursday. One thing that didn't help Pickens' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Brody Teal.
The victory got Union County back to even at 1-1. As for Pickens, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything went Union County's way against Pickens when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Union County made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union County since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
