The Pleasanton Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Pleasanton came up short against the Tigers and fell 54-45. While losing is never fun, Pleasanton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1017th, while the Tigers are ranked 479th).
Meanwhile, Uvalde's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 57-39 bruising from Carrizo Springs. Uvalde was down 53-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Pleasanton's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Uvalde, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
