Softball Recap: Riverside Has No Trouble Against New Brighton

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Neshannock, Riverside was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the New Brighton Lions 18-3. Considering the Panthers have won four matchups by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for New Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will venture away from home to face off against Hopewell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Brighton, they will head out to square off against Neshannock at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
