The Rock Port Blue Jays stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-29 victory over East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.
Rock Port was led to victory by Cade Makings and Bannack Skillen. Makings scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Skillen scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Skillen posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Corbyn Jakub, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Rock Port is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax], their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Port will take on North Andrew at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
