Leeds (Ala.) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Straughn (Andalusia, Ala.), with a 18-7 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal in the first quarter, the Green Wave were up 12-0 at the half.
Leeds saw its 12-point halftime lead fall to five entering the fourth.
With the win LHS extended its winning streak to nine games. Leeds defeated T.R. Miller 24-20 last week.
Straughn's only touchdown came on a 4-yard run by
Devin Scott in the third quarter.
The Green Wave had given up an average of 11.6 points prior to the contest.
The defeat comes as a step back for Straughn, who notched a 42-21 victory over Bayside Academy in its previous outing.
