Baseball Recap: Shallowater Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Shallowater won against Littlefield last Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Mustangs never let the Slaton Tigers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Shallowater has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Slaton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shallowater will challenge rival Dimmitt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Slaton is set to take on their familiar foe Idalou at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
