With a playoff win on the line, Harker Heights rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Cedar Hill Longhorns get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The Knights were shut out 6-0 the last time they took on the Longhorns, so the Knights were just returning the favor.

The win made it two in a row for Harker Heights and bumps their season record up to 22-8-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Cedar Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.

Harker Heights will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
