The Centerville Bulldogs will square off against the Shenandoah Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Centerville took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Monroe Central as they made off with a 19-9 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2025 (when they won 24-0).
Centerville got a massive performance out of Landen Schlotterbeck, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Locke, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Centerville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Shenandoah put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Rushville 11-1.
Arrin Murray was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Murray was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Fredenburg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jarrett Helman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.
The victory got Centerville back to even at 1-1. As for Shenandoah, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
