Dade County was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in AA Region 7. The Wolverines beat Murray County 49-13 earlier in the week.
Calhoun extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Armuchee, 53-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Pepperell's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Henderson has thrown for 690 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Landon Brooks has 14 catches for 157 yards. Ben Davenport leads the league in rushing with 677 yards.
The top two teams in AA Region 7 will face off this week when first place Calhoun takes on second place Model. Last week, Calhoun topped the Indians, while Model bested Coosa.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Hal Lamb's team takes on the Blue Devils. The Yellowjackets have allowed 138 points this season, while Model has given up 115. Calhoun allowed 0 points last week as it bested Armuchee.
The Yellowjackets took down the Indians 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
