The Roaring Fork Rams couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Aspen on Friday, falling 67-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Roaring Fork in their matchups with Aspen: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Roaring Fork saw an underclassman step up: Ethan Wilson scored 13 points. Sam Brennan was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Leading Aspen to victory were Henry Hurd and Gio Seeman. Hurd scored 12 points, while Seeman scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Holloway, who scored seven points.
Roaring Fork's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1. As for Aspen, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Roaring Fork won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Prospect Ridge Academy at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
