Omaha Westside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was CJ Mitchell out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Carson Healy, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Papillion-LaVista had strong showings from Sam Boudreau, who scored eight points, and Eric Ingwerson, who scored eight points.
Papillion-LaVista struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Omaha Westside's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Papillion-LaVista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
