The Spanish Fort Toros can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Robertsdale by a score of 56-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Spanish Fort also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Spanish Fort's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Black, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Powell, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Robertsdale still got an impressive performance from Gabe Stevens, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Stevens scored a full 42.2% of Robertsdale's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kole Singler, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Spanish Fort back to even at 10-10. As for Robertsdale, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Spanish Fort will be playing in front of their home fans against Theodore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robertsdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Robertsdale in Alabama (Baldwin County is ranked 79th, while Robertsdale is ranked 265th).
