The Twin Lakes Indians are on the road again on Friday and play against the Boone Grove Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on October 20th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Twin Lakes gave up the first points last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They secured a 24-19 W over Northwestern.
Among those leading the charge was Tristin Robertson, who picked up 163 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Robertson's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Another player making a difference was CJ Brummett, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, Boone Grove had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 45-0 win over Hammond Bishop Noll at home. The result was nothing new for Boone Grove, who have now won seven matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Mark Rowland continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 202 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Rowland is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Hammond Bishop Noll to a paltry 59 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Boone Grove's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out six times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Johnny Bobos and his two sacks.
Twin Lakes now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Boone Grove, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2.
