After a string of three wins, Lawton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 15-2 to the Schoolcraft Eagles. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gia Bridges made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Lawton's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Schoolcraft, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-16.

While Lawton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
