WHITEHALL, Mont. -
Jefferson (Boulder, Mont.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Whitehall/Harrison (Whitehall, Mont.), 40-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Cole Woodland touchdown run in the first quarter, the Panthers were up 20-0 at the half.
Jefferson grew its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. JHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
David Weinmeister.
The Trojans came in surrendering 14.5 points per game this season. Whitehall/Harrison struggled against Jefferson's offense, which entered the game scoring 30.4 points per game. The Panthers came into the game allowing 9.4 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 21-17 win for Jefferson.
With the win JHS extended its winning streak to four games.
In a Southern 5B game next week Whitehall/Harrison (5-2) takes on Broadwater, and Jefferson (7-1) will go up against Manhattan/Manhattan Christian also in a Southern 5B game.
