It was a good run, but The Dalton Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Horace Mann 13-9. Dalton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Horace Mann apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
When it comes to explaining why Dalton lost, one person who can't be blamed is James M. Despite the final result, he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Dalton's loss dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Horace Mann, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Dalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Horace Mann will take on Hackley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hackley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 335th, while Horace Mann is ranked 63rd).
