The Stevenson Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-56 to Washougal. Stevenson has struggled against Washougal recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Washougal can attribute much of their success to Alex Frost, who scored 20 points. Mather Minnis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Washougal, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson will challenge Goldendale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washougal, they will head out on the road to face off against Hudson's Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
